PUMA and Kristine Engeset relaunch the PUMA Running campaign.

I’m taking the torch from SbB, who introduced me to the lovely Kristine Engeset. Kristine is a 19-year old Scandinavian middle-distance runner that’s also one of the focal points for Puma’s recently-launched PUMA Running campaign. She was a silver medalist in the 3000-meter steeplechase at last year’s Junior Championship, meaning she has talent to go along with her natural beauty, not to mention a six-pack many women would die for (hell, men too).

Her immediate goal is to compete in the upcoming Summer Olympics, although, being a distance runner, she might need a surgical mask and a filter to breath correctly. As for us, our immediate goal is to bring you some awesome pictures of the smoking runner and so we will. (thanks chris). Somehow I feel the way these images are being fronted off in the media is like – when we hit “Britney On More Time” that innocent look but yet so seductive hahaha! – – – PUMArunning.com





You know – when I first saw a video of Kristine presenting the student award @ The PUMA Runaway fashion show in London I knew something was up! She was with Jochen and I just knew something was up! So now I made the connection on how things work out for this young fox and posted an “unreleased video” :)

PUMA “From The Archives” Party @ Grand Pacific Blue Room – Australia

So looks like PUMA launched some kind of “launch party” from the archives on March 27th 2008 in Sydney – which is strange cause I never heard about it. To be quite frank, I have no idea why this party was launched; 1) cause I have no information about it, 2) cause I’m still trying to understand why there was a party to begin with as it lacked the market visibility. I gotta thank Riley for hooking me up with the snaps, thanks dude :)

How many of you smart asses can honestly say that you always look at everything from 2 different perspectives? For me, it’s part of the natural since I’m specialized in psycho-aesthetics and Film Studies while I was in University. I always reframe everything in reality. Even the most simple things that my eyes catch! Some people would say I’m crazy, but it’s those who are crazy enough – create change! (remember that my friends) But when I’m looking at a photograph like the one below, ohh you best believe I’m taking my time in analyzing the aesthetics :)

Ok cyber pervs! Let’s get back on track so I can finish this post and get some food to eat! Alright! So, the reason I wanted to post this is to give credit to this photographer not only cause he’s rocking PUMA sneaks (although you can’t see them), but rather I found the message brilliant but yet so simple which is the best part. Basically each photograph is snapped separately and when you view both of them you make the connection and then you view 2 different perspectives. So enjoy and you’ll only find stuff like this on PUMATALK cause we’re just too RANDOM about the PUMA lifestyle!

PUMA Swimwear: Mumbai Beach Party March 23rd 2008

Uhmm… not much to say about this! On March 23rd PUMA launched it’s brand new swimwear in Mumbai and spontaneously (I say that because the event looks as though it was put together on the last minute!) decided to through a beach party – the idea was; ok, we’re PUMA and we’ll invite a few local model celebs and let them run around in their bikinis and it will be a smashing good time…. mou ha ha ha haaaa!!!! Uhmmm NO! But then again, the rules of the game is; you only treat a market for what it’s really worth, but if you guys ever need to through a really LOUD party and get attention from all over the world, pick up the phone and give a call! I’ll leave you bikini lovers off with a last snap!

Kinda weird to see PUMA do an AD campaign for socks… Not sure how they allocate such a marketing budget for something that’s kinda useless… I would invest in the people (like us) rather than to snap shots of some little 3rd grader that hasn’t reached puberty and some girl practicing her “pliers” for Jazz-Ballet class!

PUMA teamed up with Paolo Nutini for International AD Campaigns

PUMA Paolo Nutini

Sportswear brand Puma has teamed up with singer-songwriter Paolo Nutini for a new global television advertising campaign. It marks the first major deal involving Warner Music UK’s (WMUK) newly created Brand Partnerships division. The Scottish star will feature in the new 30-second ‘Sportslifestyle’ campaign singing the track New Shoes from his album These Streets.

Launching in April, the six month campaign created by agency Late Night & Weekends will kick off in the US and Japan, before rolling out in Europe and the rest of Asia. It is to be supported by a multimillion pound ad spend across TV, radio, mobile and online, as well as throughout Puma concept stores.

A short making of documentary, live appearances by Nutini and in-store promotion are also planned. WMUK worked with Nutini’s management company Morsecode to co-ordinate the project with Atlantic UK, Warner Music International’s Synch and Licensing division, as well as Warner/Chappell Music, which administer the rights to New Shoes.

Antonio Bertone, chief marketing officer for Puma, said, “Puma enjoys creating campaigns that express movement, athleticism, innovation and energy. The new Sportlifestyle campaign with Paolo goes above and beyond that concept by introducing his sound, style and personality to the mix. Paolo helps bring the brand to life with his music and is a great representation for Puma.” -Question for Antonio (hope you are reading this. Doesn’t PUMATALK also express movement, athleticism, innovation, energy and much much more? :)

-My opinion only in simpler words; Paolo, you were at the right place @ the right time. The song titled “New Shoes”, you featured a pair of PUMA sneakers in your video, and the style of the music video is similar to the PUMA ads, so it only makes sense to team up with you! Will this be a successful campaign? Yup, it sure will :) I’m trying to get a hold of some sneak peek content for all of you “Paolo Nutini” fans… I know there are some girls out there freaking out right now hahahah… too funny!
