PUMA French 77 collection

PUMA French 77

Harking back to the decadent Seventies, PUMA‘s French 77 collection is filled with colourful halter bikinis, track suits and tennis skirts that have us wishing for yesteryear. To inaugurate the line, PUMA has produced a limited edition book of photographs by Hubertus von Hohenlohe that gives us a peek into the covetable playboy era that was its source of inspiration. Set against the lush Mediterranean landscape of Monte Carlo, the sporty label has reintroduced three of the decade’s icons (tennis ace Guillermo Villas, cinematic legend Udo Kier and motorcycle champion Giacomo Agostini) as ambassadors for the vintage-inspired collection, itself a seamless blend of sport and luxury. The three silver foxes are photographed cavorting aboard yachts and cruising down promenades in an open convertible with pretty young things Lydia Hearst, Lizzie Jagger and Theodora Richards hanging off their arms. For a piece of the action, French 77 will hit the stores in April.
