lol it would be funny if they made a shoe with a clear form strip so you could match your laces with your socks lol

^^ I like the burgundy stripe, laces and lining, but not really digging the pattern. A little too psychedelic for my taste. Now, I am feeling those second ones - the blue accents look great with the black.

spaz, very nice.  i just don't think i dig the back patch being a different color.  i'd prefer the tiny puma logo (you know, the thing we can't see at this angle  ;)) to have the different color.  save for the starscream -- that one i do like the red patch at the heel.

man, sure makes you wish you had an endless supply of white or natural colored clydes to go apeshhit on, huh?  the constructions look like the green pair i have, but with a purple strip instead of dark blue/blackish.  and of course the purple heelstrap is different.

note: i assume you made that rear heelstrap the color that you did in the name of decepticons.  i can dig it.

note two: i may have made up the term heel strap; i don't know the technical term.  maybe i should go see what the mongolian bbq called it.

spaz, i tried to find the picture you used to customize your shoe photoshop style, but i didnt find a good picture.  i found a couple, but i wanted to work with the one you used as your "base model."  any chance you could post the original (the bigger the better) or email it to me? thatcasiokid@gmail.com  much appreciated if you could!
also, it's been a looong time since i've worked with photoshop.  which feature did you use to re-color the shoe?  i was messing with it earlier with some luck.  i need to give myself a refresher course in photo-choppin.

Hey Casio, I do a little Tut to help show what i did, I hope it helps you out.

I used this yellow clyde to photoshop, I'm not sure if there are any larger versions of it out there.

1: Open the picture

2: Create a new layer

3: "Polygonal Lasso" the shoe around the egde except the sole/midsole
Posted Image

4: Fill the lasso section with White and switch the Layer style to "Color" that will make it a nice light grey so you can colour it
Posted Image

5: Create a new layer

6: Lasso a section of the shoe you want coloured ((Formstripe Toebox etc etc))

7: Fill the lasso section with a colour of your choice and then switch the layer style to "Overlay" or "Color" whichever you think looks best
Posted Image

8: Repeat steps 5 6 7 again on a different part of the shoe untill it's done

9 :For the inner lining of the shoe, Overlay/Color won't work since it's white when it comes to colouring it switch the layer style to "Multiply" and just lower the Opacity

If you put each part of the shoe on a different layer it just means that if you want to make another colourway, Just pick the layer with the part of the shoe on it and use the "Paint Bucket" on that part of the shoe to change the colour

I hoped this helped ^.^

you went through way more than you had to! thanks!
i did something similar before, but working on an rx7 picture.  i believe it was originally a blue (like civic si or wrx blue) and i made it a forest green.  i just don't remember how i went about doing it.  hell, i've done it to more recent pictures, too, i believe.  i'd like to post them if i can find them, but that'd probably be way off topic.

i'll just post links.  these were done in late 2003:
original: http://a787.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/image...1777a9b6f82.jpg
redo: http://a29.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images...6aa1e4ecfcc.jpg

redo: http://a824.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/image...6a71ca443af.jpg

it was easy because i just made it white.  still, it came out horrendously well (mmm, oxymorons).  i can't find the one i wanted to show.  it may be on my old external harddrive.  it's ooold.
