1968 Roma Italia

Puma dig out a gem from the archives this Spring bringing back the original Roma 68.

Launched in 1968, the Roma was released as an all round training shoe. This LE edition is a 1-1 re-issue back in its original spec and colour-way. The upper is a clean silhouette of white team royal in a plush leather with super soft suede overlays. Subtle attention to detail appears with the addition of old school cotton laces as well as the original Puma gold sticker of authenticity in the sockliner.

The Roma, much like many styles release during the 60’s and 70’s continues to stand the test of time. A terrace favourite back then, Puma pay tribute with this release to the Roma fans and Azzuri European Champions of 1968.

Hanon are expecting delivery of the Roma Italia around the first week of April. Official launch is scheduled for April 12th. Allocation on this style will be tight. For more information please contact them on 01224 21342 or emailing them at info@hanon-shop.com.

Thankyou to Hanon For pics and info

Disagree with this.
Especially when a re-release is as good as this.
Hopefully this is a good hint of things to come.

What's cool?
Bringing out the Clyde and Suede and wrecking them for a whole year and more with **** prints on them.

Each to thei own I guess...

Possibly the best puma release this year.  Wish the would do the same with Clydes, i.e. re-release original shape and colour ways

Yup, and even though modern Roma's are kinda ugly and played out, these are very dope!

I dig these.  Romas, profile-wise, are not my absolute favorite shoes, but they are hella comfy.  I just wish they would have brought this particular model out in more than one colorway.  White shoes get so scruffy, and I already see enough kids walking around in urine-yellow (used to be white) Romas from Footlocker, I don't want to see more.  Maybe like a nice navy blue/blue or something like that. It wears so much better.

Any info yet on the price, and if these will be Europe/GB only, or in the states too?

I bet they'll do a similar thing to what they did with the Argentina, and release some other CW's later.

For the familar shape we all know, check out some CW's here on rakuten japan:

I noticed 3 other colorways in the Size? online magazine thingy, including a nice looking blue and gold model. (Sorry, I could not figure out how to post an image, as it's a Flash page, but they're on the second page...).

Yah that blue and gold one is sick. I guess I'm going to have to convince Chillie to send me some since Size? doesn't ship to US.

Yea those are hella sick~ I just don't like how they say Roma 68, the white pair looks much better just saying ROMA.

Update:

The original re-creation comes in a white/team royal colourway, whilst the
other three colourways are slightly updated to pay tribute to 1968 Azzuri
European Champions, Italy. The inner sockliner is the same material used
on the Italia Jersey, whilst the two stars above the Italia symbol on the
tongue represents the nation?s World Cup triumphs.
